NusantaraProject is an open-source Android operating system (custom ROM) based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), founded on August 4, 2020, by developers from Indonesia. Carrying the name “Nusantara”, this project was born from a vision to bring Indonesian identity and homegrown engineering into the global open-source community.

We focus on delivering a clean, lightweight, and bloatware-free Android experience while maintaining solid stability and power efficiency for daily use. Paired with rich system customization and responsive performance, NusantaraProject gives users complete control over their device’s true potential.

As a community-driven open-source initiative, development is led independently by collaborative developers and designers across Indonesia to foster an accessible and sustainable mobile technology ecosystem.
